Dear Fellow Specialists and Colleagues,

      The 2018 Central Plain Endovascular Conference（CPEC2018）and Word Experts at Central Plain Endovascular Conference（WE@CPEC） 、Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics（C3）: Advanced Endovascular and Coronary Intervention Global Summit（C3@CPEC）held by Henan Provincial People’s Hospital、Fuwai Central China Hospital and Henan Provincial Medical Doctor Association , will be inaugurated at Huangheyingbin Hotel,in Henan, China, from July 27th - 29th,2018.It’s my distinct honor and privilege as the executive chairman of CPEC to welcome you all to this annual event.

      The past three decades have seen a remarkable development of new therapeutic techniques and ideas for the aortic and peripheral vascular diseases. The innovation has almost revolutionized conventional open surgery, and led to the birth of a comprehensive treatment that combines the techniques of endovascular repair, hybrid repair and open surgery, in an organic way.

      It is clearly demonstrated-and so acknowledged by innumerable patients and working medical staff members-that the endovascular therapy involves minimal invasion, minimal repeatability, much lower incidence of mortality and comorbidity, and shorter hospital stay. Operation processes are simplified, and duration shortened. At present, the endovascular therapy is being integrated into a platform for researches and competitions among cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, emergency surgery, and neurosurgery. In the future, treatments of vascular diseases will, once individualized, be dominated by endovascular therapy, aided by hybrid therapy, and ensured by open surgery.

    Our conference team has invited notable vascular surgery, aortic vascular surgery, interventional radiology specialists and cardiologists from Asia-Pacific, Europe and the United States to come to share their expertise and experience. The discussion of this year’s WE@CPEC will center around aortic disease, carotid artery disease, lower extremity disease, visceral artery disease, as well as venous disease. In addition, numerous recorded operations will be demonstrated for introducing the frontier knowledge and latest findings on the treatment of vascular diseases.

    Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics（C3）will firstly expand in-depth cooperation with CPEC，in which cardiologists from different countries of the world will discuss coronary intervention and demonstrate the latest ideas and techniques.
