is a private Orthopaedic specialist and formerly honorary clinical professor of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He specializes in paediatric orthopaedics. He was formerly the Chief of Service of the department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Past Presidents of Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association, Asia Pacific Paediatric Society. He has great interest in patho-anatomy of disease conditions and development of treatment methods based on reversing patho-anatomy. His innovative treatment methods include new close reduction method for treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus, home traction for developmental dysplasia of the hip, arthrodiastasis for Perthes disease, modified Ponseti club foot treatment, navigation guided pelvic osteotomy, anterior approach for thoracolumbar scoliosis, video-assisted –thoraco-scopic surgery in scoliosis, Navigation guided spine instrumentation for scoliosis correction, 3D printing rapid prototype and custom made guides for limb deformity correction, fixator on fixator for limb deformity correction surgery, dynamisation device for circular and monolateral fixator in the treatment of limb lengthening. He has been the principal investigator for the development of a new external fixator for the treatment of Perthes disease with a patent on this new invention. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and has received the John Moe best e-poster and Russel A Hibbs best clinical research awards.
