The fifth China-US sports trauma imaging diagnosis advanced course

        APKASS(Asia Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society) represents the highest academic level of this field in Asia Pacific. IFOSMA (International Forum on Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery) is a transitional academic conference in the field of Sports Medicine in China. It is hoped that on the way to promote the internationalization of Chinese sports medicine, more Chinese sports medicine doctors will connect with the international community through IFOSMA platform. The 2019 APKASS Summit combined with the 16th IFOSMA will be hold in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It will build a bridge between Chinese sports medicine doctors and the international doctors. Chinese orthopedics sports medicine has developed rapidly in recent years. Sports medical imaging and sports medicine are inseparable, promoting and developing each other.

 

        We have held four consecutive courses on the progress of imaging diagnosis of sports trauma. The number of participants is very high. The study courses attracted a large number of clinical orthopedics, radiographic, ultrasound and other specialists, and received high praise. As part of the Second "One belt, and One Road" International Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Summit and the Fifth Western China Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Forum, the Fifth China-US Sports Trauma Imaging Diagnosis Progress Course will invite the internationally renowned Sports Medicine Imaging Experts: Ali Guermazzi, MD, PhD, the Director of the Medical Imaging Center of Boston University, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Radiology”, Senior Editor-in-Chief of “European Radiology”. He will give a lecture about the new progress of sports medical imaging and how to publish papers on musculoskeletal imaging in the International Journal of Radiology. At the same time, domestic well-known experts in the field of musculoskeletal imaging will be invited to give lectures which are close with clinical practice and combine with specific sports medical imaging cases and arthroscopes. Thus, participants will receive a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of sports medical imaging and research hotspots. They will have the opportunity to understand the latest technology and concept of arthroscopic surgery in international clinical orthopedics, and expand the thinking of clinical musculoskeletal imaging.
