About the IPBA
2019-07-17

The Inter-Pacific Bar Association ("IPBA") is an international association of business and commercial lawyers who live in, or otherwise have a strong interest in, the Asia-Pacific region. Since its establishment in April 1991 at an inaugural conference held in Tokyo attended by more than 500 lawyers from the Asia-Pacific region, the IPBA has grown to 1,500 members in more than 65 jurisdictions worldwide. With 24 legal committees from which to choose, the IPBA has members across the entire spectrum of business and commercial legal work. Membership is limited to individuals only, so our relatively small size and personal nature enables you to see and get to know the same members at our annual conference and regional events, as well as make new friends in the same area of law across the world or from your own jurisdiction. IPBA members have the opportunity to speak at our annual conferences, write articles for the quarterly IPBA Journal, and connect with other members through our online and printed membership directories. Four membership categories with reasonable fees make it easy to join. Full details can be found on our web site at https://ipba.org, or contact the Secretariat at ipba@ipba.org.
