Qu Congyi Joy


Qu Congyi Joy did her MEd in English Language Education in Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong, and is now doing MPhil in Applied English Linguistics in Department of English, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include: Second Language Acquisition (especially Tense and Aspect Acquisition), Psycholinguistics, English Language Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.

Gavin Junjie WU

Gavin Junjie Wu is pursuing his PhD degree in the field of technology-enhanced language learning under the supervision of professor Lindsay Miller at City University of Hong Kong (2018 QS ranking: 49th). He has become a program committee member for the GLoCALL International Conference since 2017 (17 in Brunei, 18 in Suzhou, 19 in Danang). He has presented his work in different international conferences and his latest work can be found in Language in Society, TESOL Journal, TESL-EJ and The Journal of Asia TEFL.

Professor Moses Samuel is an applied linguist with more than 40 years’ experience as a teacher educator.  He is currently Professor at Taylor's University Malaysia.  His areas of research and teaching include TESOL, multiliteracies and language policies.

Peter Wingrove

Peter was born in London, completed his undergraduate degree in philosophy and English literature at Sheffield University and his master's degree in applied linguistics at Durham University. He has taught English in China, Korea, and Japan. Now he is a PhD student with CAES at the University of Hong Kong. His research interests include corpus linguistics and academic English.

Yilin Sun

Prof. Yilin Sun, Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics/Curriculum-Instruction, from OISE/University of Toronto, Canada. President of TESOL International Association (2013-2016); President of MAAL (2017-18); President of WAESOL (2003 and 2007) who has 30+ years of experience in TESOL as a teacher trainer, a researcher, a classroom teacher, and a program leader with a variety of higher educational institutions in China, Canada and U.S.A. 
Fulbright Senior Scholar in Taiwan (2011-2012); English Language Specialist for the U.S. Department of State and has conducted teacher training workshops in many countries including Cambodia, China, South Korea, Laos, Russia and Thailand.
Yilin is the author and co-author of books, book chapters and research papers in refereed professional journals and a frequent presenter at national and international ELT conferences as a keynote and/or featured speaker.

Aymen Elsheikh & Zohreh Eslami

                 
Aymen Elsheikh                                  Zohreh Eslami
Aymen Elsheikh is an Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University-Qatar. His research interests include language teacher education, English as an international language, language teacher associations, among others. He taught in many countries around the world including Sudan, Oman, USA, Qatar, and the UAE. He also co-founded TESOL Sudan and Africa TESOL and is currently the latter’s Vice President.

Zohreh Eslami is a Professor at Texas A&M University and is the Liberal Arts Program Chair at Texas A&M University at Qatar. Her research has examined intercultural and cross-cultural communication, English as an International language, sociocultural perspectives of teaching, and acquisition of English as a second/foreign language. Her publications include over one hundred journal papers, book chapters and conference proceedings.
