Boris Malyugin is a Deputy Director General (R&D, Edu) of the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Institution, Professor of Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Department of the A. Yevdokimov Moscow Medical Dental University (Moscow, Russia).

Dr. Malyugin is a world-renowned authority and expert in the field of anterior segment surgery. He has established himself at the forefront of advanced cataract and corneal surgery by pioneering numerous techniques and technologies. He is well known for his development of the Malyugin Ring to be used in small pupil cataract surgery.

Boris Malyugin is the current President of the Russian Ophthalmology Society (since 2016). He is the International Intraocular Implant Club and Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis member, International Council of Ophthalmology Board of Trustees member, ESCRS Glaucoma Committee Chair & ESCRS Program Committee member.

Dr. Malyugin has multiple international awards and was invited to participate with named and keynote lectures and live surgery sessions during many national and international meetings. Dr. Malyugin published extensively in peer-reviewed literature and made contributions to the video journals and atlases of ophthalmic surgery.

He is a Chief Medical of the ?Fyodorov Journal of Ophthalmic Surgery? (Russia) and associate editor of the ?News in Ophthalmology? (Russia).
