He graduated University of Ulsan College of Medicine in 1999. He had completed residency and gastrointestinal fellowship at Asan Medical Center and now works as a clinical associate professor of the department of gastroenterology at the same hospital. He is a member of scientific committee in both Society of Gastrointestinal Intervention (SGI) and Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE), and his major academic and clinical interests are as follows: 1) endoscopic treatment of the early and large colorectal neoplasia (endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic submucosal dissection, etc.); 2) surveillance for the colitis-associated cancer or dysplasia in inflammatory bowel disease; 3) endoscopic treatment of colitis-associated dysplasia; 4)diagnosis and management of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding using small bowel capsule endoscopy and balloon assisted enteroscopy
