Yiqi Yang

Professor Yiqi Yang received his PhD from Purdue University. As a textile chemical engineer, he is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and works in the Departments of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design, and Biological Systems Engineering.

Dr. Yang’s research focuses on development of biobased materials and ecofriendly technologies. Examples include development of new lignocellulosic, protein and synthetic fibers from agricultural byproducts and coproducts, and ecofriendly technologies for textiles, composites, cosmetics and medicinal industries.
