Promotional activities of The 16th Asia TEFL International Conference in Yogyakarta

The 16th Asia TEFL International Conference is co-hosted by Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics, Macau Association for Applied Linguistics and Asia TEFL. The conference venue is University of Macau (Macau SAR, China). It provides a forum for solving the problem of ELT practitioners are facing in the changing glocalized world, also discuss the study of applied linguistics and ELT emphasizes the tension between the two trends. The aim of this conference is to bring the ELT community in Asia all together, so they could work together to give a common response to the challenges and problems they face, a response that draws on both research and practice. It has attracted almost 1300 papers submitted from 30-40 countries (can be seen from the list of presenters in the website).
Recent Activities
From 12 to 16 July, 2017, Professor Sun Yilin from University of Macau and Mr. Andrew Jiang from Macau Expo Group Limited launched a series of promotional activities at The Royal Ambattukmo Hotel and Eastparc Hotel in Yogyakarta. They promoted the meeting by showing the posters and sending leaflets. It will let more people understand this conference and get familiar with Macau.
