ISRD-ATS International Travel Award, ISRD-APSR Award

Background

In order to accomplish the Chinese dream that Chinese respiration influences worldwide, Professor Chunxue Bai set up the International Society for Respiratory Diseases (ISRD) in Hong Kong in 2011. The aim of ISRD was to establish a platform for foreign exchanges and increase the influences of Chinese respiration in the world. The goal of the ISRD is to achieve four changes, including "from establishing bottom of the building to designing the top of the building, from the academic follower to the academic leader, from the practical new to the international invention, from the Chinese manufacturing to the creation of smart". The International Society for Respiratory Diseases (ISRD) has been recognized by the well-known International Respiratory Societies, such as ATS and APSR, and has organized ATS-APSR-ISRD at the ATS Annual Conference in 2015, 2016 and 2017, respectively. In this excellent situation, respiratory scholars get together and hold ISRD annual meeting as well as gradually establish and improve the ISRD committees at all levels, to achieve the Chinese dream "convergence of international and then affecting the world". ISRD has the responsibility to train the international “four talented people” who has voices in the international conferences, has influences in international magazines, has positions in international society and has been recognized in the international society. In addition to the establishment of China Day, we also established several awards for youth below 40 years old:

(1) ISRD-ATS International Travel Award: 20 awards per year, including 10 Oral and 10 Poster awards. In addition to certificate, each Oral Awardees will receive total $1,000 from ISRD and ATS. Moreover, poster awardees will receive $500 from ISRD.

(2) ISRD-APSR Travel Award: 10 awards per year. In addition to certificate, each awardee will receive $ 500 from ISRD.

Applicant Conditions

（1）Age ≤ 40;

（2）Applying for ISRD membership, registering to participate in 2019 ISRD conference and submitting English Abstract to 2019 ISRD;

（3）Note: Abstracts submitted to ATS or APSR can also be given to the ISRD;

Approval procedure

(1) ATS and APSR will submit the list of abstracts from China, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, to the ISRD;

(2) The ISRD Academic Committee will appraise and select the awardees based on the applicant's condition, score and geographical distribution;

(3) Sending invitation to the awardees;

(4) Awardees are required to attend the conference to get the certificate.
